Setting MacPaint or ThunderScan
documents as a desktop background in Servant is as simple as
selecting the document and going to the Special menu and
selecting Set Background. This circa 1986 image of
me, holding my Mac 512Ke, was originally scanned into my
Macintosh using ThunderScan, which replaced the ink
cartridge in an ImageWriter II with a scanner. The software
would control the printer and slowly wind a photograph
through the printer and scan the image line by line. This
document was then imported into MacPaint.
